Bring on all the Christmas movies and cozy holiday jammies! 🎄 To kick off the season, let’s chat the Sephora Holiday Savings Event! Now, I cover this every year, twice a year. You can check out my Spring 2022 picks here! For the most part all my picks are the same, with couple new additions! *I’m consistent* lol.
What is the Sephora Holiday Savings Event?
In simple terms, it is a tiered sale where your shopping days are based on your status with Sephora! Basically, the higher ranked you are, the more you save + the earlier you can shop!
This year, Sephora is doing something NEW! Where anyone can save 30% on the Sephora Collection items the entire time, no matter the status! I personally am a VIB, so I will be able to shop 11/1-11/7 and save 15% when I do!
My Picks for the sale
In no particular order, these are my Sephora Holiday Savings Event picks:
- Tatcha Water Cream– This was a recommendation from Kelly Anne (@makeupxka) for people with oily skin. It is pricy but when I say it has made all the difference in my makeup application…. OMG. I use it before my primer and it makes your makeup go on so much smoother and your face feel radiant and glowy.
- Makeup Forever HD Skin Foundation– This foundation was another Kelly Anne (@makeupxka) recommendation over the summer and I fell in LOVE. I had been gradually getting away from a heavier, full coverage look over the course of 2022 and this medium coverage, skin like finish is exactly what I was looking for! It’s buildable, works great with my oily skin, and lasts all day!
- NARS Compact Concealer– This concealer, ya’ll…. absolute perfection for covering up blemishes! I put it on after primer, then let it just sit there for a good 2 mins and dry/mattify. Then go right on top with my foundation, patting and not swiping. It covers completely and is undetectable.
- Saie Blush– If you are on the liquid blush train this one is for you! A little goes a long way with this beauty and the pigmentation is STUNNING.
- Saie Starglow– I have completely replaced powdered highlighter with this product! There are actually multiple ways to apply/use this but I have found my favorite to be OVER my powders as a highlighter. The trick here is to be swift and precise. I add the product to the back of my hand then use a beauty blender to apply to my high points. Press gently because, you are applying a liquid over powder so the risk of removing your makeup is there. Practice makes perfect!
- Benefit Brow Pencil– A favorite for over 2 years now! I am currently using shade 3.5 or 3.75, whichever is in stock!
- Benefit Brow Gel– Goes hand in hand with the brow pencil!
- Urban Decay Ultra Matte Setting Spray– I was once a “de-slick” fan by Urban Decay and I am not opposed to it, but I had to buy this one a couple months ago because that’s all that was in stock and MA’AM it is so good and maybe even better? Perfect for my oily gals!
- Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara– I think this is the most underrated mascara. It is amazing. The wand has a curved side and a straight side which I love for separating my lashes. It goes on so smooth and I just can’t get over it!
- Tarte Juicy Lip Plump– I was already a fan of the Tarte Juicy Lip, then they came out with this plumping one and it is so good! It gives the slightest tingle, but I hardly feel it anymore. Perfect for a subtle pout and the colors are amazing!
