I went back through my order history and put together a full list of all the items I included in my DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes! These were so fun to make and give my girls. I wanted to be on theme with the color choices, so since I was going to be using blush or peach bridesmaid dresses I wanted everything in the box to be in that color palate! I hope that this guide will help you put together your DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes, or you could even use these gift ideas to put together a cute gift box for a birthday, or even Mother’s Day!
The Box
I actually bought these boxes from Hobby Lobby, which they may still have, but I can’t find them online so I have linked some I found on Amazon. This box was the perfect size for all the goodies to fit in. Since it is a photo box it has this metal attachment on one side for a label, it is just being held on by prongs so I just took it off gently and it left super small holes that weren’t even noticeable.
Ribbon
This ribbon was the perfect shade of blushy-pink! Plus Hobby Lobby always has tons of ribbon choices and weekly sales!
Names
The names on the boxes were vinyl decals that I had my friend with a Circuit make for me! If you have one of these then you are good to go! If you don’t know anyone, I linked a few Etsy shops that sell vinyl decals. Or check out my friends Facebook page to order yours!
Filler
I needed a little something to take up the empty space in the box, this stuff was super cheap and got the job done!
Wine tumblers
These were a hit! I thought they were so cute because the shape of them looked kind of like a diamond, and then they fit in a cup holder, lol. Unfortunately, they don’t have these anymore. But, I linked a similar one here!
Facial spray
First of all, I love this stuff! It is so refreshing and I knew my girls loved it too! I knew for sure that I wanted to include these in my proposal boxes when I started making them & I love how they had a color that went with my theme!
Lip Balm
Lip Balm is always a good go to for small gifts. You can never have too many and everyone always enjoys getting some! The Eos ones work great and also come in cute packaging. Win, win!
Facemask
Another go-to gift! Us girls love a good face-mask! I just hopped into Ulta and found one that had pink packaging, plus I love this brand.
Cards
I knew that I wanted to write each one of my bridesmaids a special note, and I obviously wanted the cards to also match the theme of the box. I found this website by doing a simple Google search. I loved how the envelope that came with the cards was the perfect shade of blush! I actually ended up buying this brand of cards again for the wedding day for my notes to the parents & Cody!
Wine/Champage
Of course I had to include a pink drink! I didn’t know if I was going to go with mini champagne bottles or mini bottles of rosé so I found myself at the liquor store just seeing what they offered. Of course, I can’t find the exact brand I used so I linked a couple that are pretty much the same thing!
Hair ties
The girls loved these the most!! I loved how I found a set that matched my wedding colors, and these hair ties were (and still are) super popular at the time. They were perfect for my little box of goodies!
Wedding Date Calendar
This was a DIY project that was super easy. I wanted to include a little calendar that had our wedding date on it, but didn’t want to buy something. I did a quick google search for “September 2019 calendar” and found a printable one. I downloaded it and pasted into word, then just use the shapes tool to add a little heart around our wedding date! I printed it and cut them out to fit in the box! Super easy and free!
And there you have it! I was super excited to make these DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes since they were the first real “wedding related” thing I did! Getting engaged is such a special time for you and your fiancé, but also for you and your wedding party! The proposals are a great way to show your appreciation for them and have them get excited to celebrate with you! I love the idea of being on “theme” because it gives a little taste of your wedding colors and the vibe you are going for. Make it unique and special, you only propose to your bridesmaid once!
