So I shared all of your favs from the past year, now it’s time to share my favorites from 2021! This actually might be a little hard just because I seriously found so many amazing things this past year. I feel like I totally found and embraced my own personal style this year. At least towards the end of the year. I often struggle with “oh they’re wearing that so I need to wear that” but then I never really feel like myself while wearing it. Isn’t that weird how your fashion sense/style can really make you feel the most *you*.
I am a big believer in staples, which a lot of you already know. So this year I really invested in some good pieces that will last me years. Jeans of course were a big thing this year, specifically the straight leg, 90s style. Which honestly, anything 90s and I am in heaven. 100000% my favorite fashion era so I am super glad it has come back. *hopefully for a while*
I also found a lot of good new beauty products this year! I finally have a pretty good makeup routine down and some shampoo/conditioners that I really like. Yay! Well, I could go on and on. So let’s get into it!
FASHION FAVORITES
- Amazon Sunglasses– I wear these 98% of the time and they are the perfect RayBan dupe.
- Leather Pants– if you follow me on IG or TikTok you know my love for the Abercrombie leather pants. I wear them all the time! Keep an eye on them as they go on sale quite often. They fit TTS and are so comfortable, versatile and a closet staple.
- Target Booties– the perfect Marc Fisher dupe booties. I love the color too it is a perfect brown that goes with anything!
- Nike RYZ 365– These shoes are the perfect sporty sneaker. They do have a platform, but they are lightweight, chunky, but sporty. I had my eye on these for months before finding them on sale and finally snagged them!
- Amazon Handbag– I actually bought quite a few bags from Amazon this year, this one is deff the most used in my closet and I actually bought it in brown too for fall & winter!
- Goodnight Macaroon LV Dupe– This has quickly become my daily bag. It is the perfect size, goes with everything and super cute!
- Express Body Contour Tanks– A CLOSET STAPLE, friends. They go on sale for lie $20 all the time so next time they do, snag all the colors!
- Amazon Sweater/Free People Dupe– This sweater is a must in everyone’s closet, that is all.
- Amazon Seamless Panties– These are actually my favorite undies now. Perfect for leggings and working out as they are light and breathable.
- Aerie Bras– MY NEW FAVORITE BRA EVER PLESE GET THESE!!!
- Amazon Buttons– These have helped me so much this year! My weight fluctuates so much, so sometimes I am in between sizes. I snap one of these on and BOOM my jeans fit perfect!
BEAUTY FAVORITES
- Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation– This is now my GO TO when it comes to full coverage foundation. I use it on shoot days, for events/nights out and anytime I really just need full coverage. It has a matte, but not too matte finish and since I have oily skin it works great with my skin type.
- L’Oréal Tinted Serum Foundation– This one was a surprisingly amazing drugstore find. I saw it on TikTok first, so I bought it to try. It took 3 times to get my shade right, I ended up going with the lightest. But it has pretty great coverage for “everyday” or if you don’t like full coverage makeup.
- Milk Makeup Hydro-Grip Primer– I was surprisingly SHOOK by this primer. I wanted a matte primer, because of my oily skin, but my friend recommended this and I am HOOKED. I let it sit for about 30 seconds before I apply makeup to let it get tacky, but it has this cooling effect that is really nice too.
- Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray– Another great recommendation from a friend. Finally a setting spray that I feel actually works for me and my skin type.
- NYX “Nude Beige” Lip Liner– THE PERFECT NUDE LINER if you want something a little darker than the actual color of your lips. I have been wearing it nonstop this fall and winter.
- Hourglass Vanish Concealer– This concealer is worth every penny in my opinion. It’s full coverage, doesn’t crease, it’s creamy and weightless. I just love it so much!
- Lancôme Mascara Primer- I will never not buy this. I tried it for the first time this year and I am never going without it.
- Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara– The brush on this mascara is unmatched and absolute perfection. I love how it also adds length to my lashes!
- DIBS Desert Island Duo– I actually love the formula on this cream contour and have been using it a lot lately! I use a brush to apply it vs putting it directly on my face. I feel like its a more subtle approach and I am also pretty pale right now lol.
- T3 Micro– I bought the convertible base, 1in and 1.25in this year and I love how I can change them out depending on the style I want. I am actually in the market for a new straightener and will probably end up going with this brand!
- Oribe Texture Spray– FINALLY a texture spray that actually works for my hair! It is pricy but in my opinion, so worth it!
- Tatcha Water Cream– This stuff y’all. WOW. I heard about it from a makeup artist on IG and she said it would be good for skin prep before makeup and she was so right. I can’t NOT use this now before makeup. It provides the perfect glowy, moisturized base before you put on your face.
LIFESTYLE FAVORITES
- Party Smart Pills– While this may make me look like an alcoholic…. these are a must for a night (or day) where you will be drinking. Let’s be honest I am 29 now and hangovers are not fun.
- Canon G7x Mark III– I got this camera for my birthday this year and it has been a game changer in creating content. I love the video quality and photo quality. It is user friendly and get’s the job done for me.
- Amazon Tripod– Another must have if you are a creator! I take this baby with me for shoot days or when I am just shooting at the house. I love the height of it and how its lightweight and can go anywhere!
- Lumineaux– I have been using this brand for my toothpaste and white strips all year and I love that they whiten, help with sensitivity and are organic. Absolutely LOVE.
- 5 Minute Journal– I feel like everyone has this now, but if you don’t…. get it! The whole concept is basically to take 5 minutes from your day & night and really think about your intentions, affirmations and what you are grateful for. It helps you take on each day with a positive outlook!
- Daily Devotional– another part of my daily routine! A great way to spend time with the Lord each morning or night.
- Amazon Daily Planner- I use this baby every single day! I love how it helps you set goals and plan each day while also being aesthetically cute AF.
